The art or work of poet. Depending on its subject and from, a poem can stimulate our imaginations, make us laugh, incite us to join in with repeated words and refrains, touch deep feelings.
Poetry influences the literacy development of young children. They also benefit from the rhyming, predictable, and repetitious nature of poetry. Poems given clues that help click, decode words, they don’t yet know how to read.
